3 Ways to Get More Done in Less Time

Wouldn’t it feel amazing to double your productivity starting today?

ALL moms would love to get more done in less time, right? Without the stress of feeling that there are never enough hours in the day, you would have more room to breathe, think, dream, and create. You’d be more relaxed about life. You’d be able to fully embrace quality time with your family rather than feeling anxious about all the other things that need to get done.

Well, I have some great news for you, mama. With a few simple tweaks in your habits, you can start getting way more accomplished in far less time.

What I am NOT talking about….

I’m not talking about hurriedly rushing through the tasks you have to do so you can get to the good stuff of life. Most often the things you have to do are important to work or life. These are things that need your full attention in order for life to run smoothly.

I’m also not talking about multitasking. Multitasking is deeply ingrained in many of us as a way to get more stuff done, but it is a big fat lie! In fact, multitasking is actually counterproductive to productivity. Studies have shown that multitasking decreases efficiency and makes us accomplish LESS.

So what am I talking about?

I’m talking about developing a habit of fully focusing on one thing at a time in a strategic way that allows you to maximize your time and skyrocket your productivity. I know from experience that you can get more done in ONE hour of fully focused time that you can trying to multitask through a whole day.

3 ways to get more done in less time

Plan ahead and be organized

Don’t waste valuable time searching for things you need to complete your task. Plan ahead and have everything you need at hand. Make sure the kids will be fully occupied and independent or watched by someone else. Communicate that you need to focus without interruption for the upcoming block of time.

Start with what gives you energy

Give yourself a productivity boost by creating momentum first. Starting with something that fuels and energizes you will get you in your “zone” and create momentum to get more done. Once you’ve got that positive energy momentum rolling, you’re in a productive flow and it makes each subsequent task easier to complete.

Beat the clock, rest, and repeat

Get rid of distractions, set a timer, and go in full focus mode until that time is up. Keep your mind fresh by focusing for 30 minutes and then take a few minutes to move your body and clear your mind before doing another round. Repeat this process as many times as needed.

Getting more done in less time means having more time to focus on the most important things in your life.

Mama, you can absolutely build that dream biz, write that book, create that future…whatever it is that you are working toward. And you don’t have to feel overwhelmed, frenzied, and feel like you’re neglecting your kids.

Do yourself a huge favor and implement these three ideas and see how much more you can accomplish. I have a feeling you will be very surprised to learn how much more you can do in a shorter amount of time.
